Abstract:
The matrix theory of hybrid multiwire transmission lines has been laid very recently. Here, we consolidate this new subject by presenting analytical and numerical results concerning four-wire geometries. The examples offered address the interaction between a two-wire electric transmission line and a two-wire magnetic transmission line for the cases of coplanar, parallel, and perpendicular settings, where we show that mode coupling is observed only in the latter case.
