Abstract:
We study the propagation of high-power laser in the rain. The effective permittivity of the rain is incorporated into the propagation model to study energy loss and further the steady-state thermal blooming of the high-power laser. With the help of simulations, we obtain the contour distribution of the laser beam at different propagation distance for different rain rates.
