Abstract:
Electromagnetic coupling of an impulsive plane wave to a thin planar antenna is described analytically using the reciprocity theorem of the time-convolution type. It is shown that the pulsed voltage response induced within a thin planar antenna can be expressed through a simple rim integration of either the “testing” voltage distribution or the generalized-ray representation of the time-domain Green’s function. Numerical experiments demonstrate the validity and high computational efficiency of the proposed closed-form coupling model.
