Abstract:
Axial diffraction of a dipole source on an elongated perfectly conducting spheroid is considered in high-frequency asymptotic approximation in a uniform manner with respect to the rate of elongation. Approximation is tested vs. numerical results. Effects of elongation on the induced currents distribution are illustrated.
