Abstract:
This paper investigates the absorption features of the symmetric G-shape metamaterial absorber (MA) at the microwave frequency range for the ultra-wideband. The proposed metamaterial structure attains above 95% absorptivity in the frequency range of 20–60 GHz. It also analyses the absorptivity of the ultra-wideband MA for the different incidence angles of the electromagnetic (EM) wave. The absorptivity is the function of the angle of incidence of EM waves for the proposed G-shape metamaterial structure and it attains maximum absorptivity for the normal incidence. Such a wideband absorber would be useful for the multifarious applications including wideband filtering and stealth metamaterial in the Ku, K-, Ka- Q- and U-bands.
