Abstract: A high-gain antipodal Vivaldi antenna with multi-layer planar dielectric lens (AVA-MPDL) is proposed. Compared to the conventional AVA design, the gain of the antenna has been greatly improved by applying the MPDL in front of the antenna’s aperture at the upper working frequencies. Additionally, beam-tilting in E-plane at higher frequencies has also been overcome. The modified antenna has been fabricated and measured, the measurement results show that the frequency band for S11
