Abstract: A series of studies of high-power millimeter-wave Traveling wave tubes (TWTs) for electronic countermeasure (ECM) and communication have been conducted in recent years. The helix TWTs with wide bandwidth and high efficiency can produce output power of over 150 W in the frequency range of 18–26.5 GHz and output power of over 120 W from 26.5 to 40 GHz. The mini-TWTs can produce a stable RF output power of over 40 W in the frequency range of 30–37 GHz. The communication TWTs can produce output power of over 250 W covering 27.5–31 GHz with good linearity and output power of 100 W covering 40–47 GHz.
