Abstract:
Circular phased array antennas with a quasi-omnidirectional pattern to generate transverse orbital angular momentum (OAM) waves with modes $ \textrm{l = 0 } $ l = 0 and $ - 1 $ −1 are designed at the frequency of 4 GHz. Proposed antennas consist of eight substrates integrated waveguide (SIW) H-plane horn elements and microstrip corporate feeding networks. Experimental results show that the mutual coupling between array antennas can be reduced by employing transverse OAM waves with different modes.
