Abstract:
In the current paper, we present a theoretical description of strongly nonlocal difference-frequency response of the conducting media to the irradiation by the ultrashort optical pulse. The influence of electron motion near the surface on nonlinear currents is considered using Boltzmann kinetic equation. For the typical experimental conditions we demonstrate that accounting of spatial dispersion significantly affects the magnitude of the optically rectified pulse.
