Analysis on the reflection of waves through viscoelastic piezoelectric material

Abstract:
Considerations about elasticity are crucial for assessing the stress of materials, such as concrete, steel, coal, etc. The reflection and refraction of plane waves in elastic substances are the intention of this research. Different parameters representing different physical phenomena are combined in this work to investigate the complex dynamics of wave propagation through a piezoelectric monoclinic medium. The tendency of piezoelectric materials to transform mechanical energy into electrical energy results in their unique wave-like behaviour. These asymmetric attributes become noticeably more complex in a monoclinic crystal structure. The study aims to investigate how the intrinsic energy-storing and releasing properties of the material affect wave behaviour by incorporating viscoelastic effects. Rotating effects are included to offer even more intricacy; these replicate real-world scenarios where such materials may be in motion or subjected to rotational forces. Our research combines theoretical modelling and numerical simulations to provide a thorough knowledge of the connections between these components.
