Abstract: A novel compact topology based on only a single stub-loaded resonator (SLR) for single-wideband (WB) and dual-band (DB) filtering power dividers (FPDs) is proposed. Since the same SLR is used for both wideband and dual-band operation, the transition from wideband to dual band (or vice versa) is achieved by the transmission zero (TZ) shifting method. The TZ shifting is controlled by one of the three loaded stubs in the SLR. The highly selective wide passband is centered at 1.95 GHz with the fractional bandwidths (FBW) of 58%. The two passbands are centered at 1.66 and 2.37 GHz with FBW of 18% and 11.7%, respectively. The in-band isolations for WB- and DB-FPDs are better than 21 and 30 dB, respectively. The compact WB - and DB-FPDs are successfully designed, fabricated, and measured in good agreement with the EM simulations.
