Abstract:
The imperative of carbon neutrality is more urgent than ever. While a profusion of carbon reduction, greening, and net zero commitments have been made, there remains significant uncertainty concerning implementing carbon neutrality effectively from an operations perspective. We conduct a systematic literature review on carbon-neutrality supply chains (CNSC) to identify and synthesise the key themes into three main domains: ‘CNSC foundation’, ‘CNSC operations’, and ‘CNSC development’. Building upon these domains, we examine the emerging issues and propose a research agenda based on the path dependence theory, innovation diffusion theory, and social network theory to extend the knowledge frontier for achieving carbon neutrality.
