Abstract:
The Center for Talent Development (CEDET) in Lavras, Minas Gerais, Brazil, is an educational enrichment center that is integrated with both the public and private school systems. Its program, which utilizes guided observation in its identification process, serves approximately 700 gifted children in the urban and rural areas of Lavras, Minas Gerais. Through its identification and enrichment of gifted children as well as its participation in and sponsorship of national conferences, CEDET functions as a strong resource for gifted education.
