Abstract:
The validity or accuracy of a subject's responses to personality inventories is a major problem in psychodiagnostics that uses self-declarative measures, as there are many situations in which subjects may be tempted to conceal answers positively in order to shed light. more favorable, in a negative way, to state or maximize certain personal problems, or totally random from haste, superficiality or non-participation. Starting from this idea, we conducted a case study to highlight the importance of the existence of validation scales that can cause various forms of distortion of response protocols, distortion that can be determined even by the situation in which psychological testing is performed.
