The relationship between personality factors, dysfunctional attitudes, and depression among the employees in the organisational environment

Abstract: This study underlines the organisational environment, which mainly focuses on the interaction between leaders and subordinates, between different personalities, distinct styles of action and thinking, from various behavior patterns. The research aims to identify how personality factors relate to dysfunctional attitudes at work and establish whether a correlation between these attitudes and depression exists. One of the paper's central concepts is represented by personality, a widely studied psychological concept that still embodies a significant challenge. Personality is a stable element of a person's demeanour which characterizes and differentiates one individual from another. Depression, a well-known issue in psychological studies, is a disorder that engulfs the person. It can impact interpersonal relationships and, implicitly, the person's attitude in the organizational environment to a greater or lesser extent. Dysfunctional attitudes at work result in poor relationships with the team and negatively affects the individual's involvement. Thirty employees from a sausage company from Constanta have participated in the study. The paper aimed to test individuals employed in various positions, both females and males of different ages, to capture the differences in the concepts of interest.
