Abstract: Daniel Goleman says if IE were to become as widespread as IQ and as ingrained in society as it is a measure of human qualities, he believes that our families, schools, jobs and the communities in which we live will be all more humane and more stimulating. This paper aims to study the relationship between emotional intelligence, attachment style and self-esteem of people aged 15 to 35 years old. The results obtained from the statistical data analysis confirmed the hypothesis that emotional intelligence differs between adolescence and young adulthood. It also emerged that self-esteem correlates negatively with insecure attachment.
