Abstract:
In a world of relationships with others, where through every contact we are transformed and transform in turn, the way we explain the results of our actions will influence, to some extent, the nature of the relationships we establish with others. People justify the results of the different situations in which they are involved by appealing either to an internal explanation, based on which control is appreciated as being in their own person, or to an external explanation, the court of control being seen in situations, in others, in destiny. , in chance. In direct and bilateral interactions between people, people with the personality variable called place of internal control will be prepared to take responsibility for their own actions, will have control over them and the interactional situation, presenting themselves to others as architects of order and of coherence. People with a place of external control, convinced that they cannot intervene to bring about an important change in their own lives or in their own activities, will consider their whole existence as a long series of events predetermined and controlled by their external forces. This paper focuses on the study of the specifics that internal or external beliefs can imprint on interpersonal behaviors.
