Abstract:
Social project management plays an important part in promoting sustainable development by facilitating the implementation of interventions aimed at meeting community needs and creating long-term value. The paper objectives aim at analyzing the course of social project management in the context of sustainable development and identify the development directions imposed by social reality. The research method used is based on document analysis. The paper addresses aspects related to the progress of standards and work methodologies within project management, incorporating a conceptual framework focused on social innovation, intersectoral collaboration, sustainability, collaborative governance, digitalization and social impact assessment. The results of the analysis show that the success of social projects, according to the literature, lies in the very involvement of relevant stakeholders, in the ability of organizations to generate long-term social value and to develop sustainable solutions adapted to changes in social reality.
