Abstract:
In the face of increasing environmental problems, green construction has emerged as a key strategy for sustainabledevelopment. The article examines whether business investment in research and development (R&D) promotesgreen building practices. We carefully identified and compared different combinations of conditions, such as the scale of R&D investments, regulatoryframeworks, and organizational commitment to sustainability, to examine their collective effects on the adoption anddevelopment of green building techniques. The findings reveal nuances in which high R&D investment is not always directly related to the implementation of greenbuilding practices. This study contributes to sustainable development by exploring the complex interplay between business investment regulatorypolicies and environmental commitments in promoting green construction. Provides valuable insights for industrystakeholders in promoting sustainable practices in the construction industry.
