Abstract: This research paper delves into the intricate interplay between artificial intelligence (AI), human rights, andsustainability, shedding light on the ethical dimensions that permeate this dynamic relationship. In an era marked byrapid technological advancements, the deployment of AI technologies holds immense promise for addressing globalchallenges, including the protection and promotion of human rights and the pursuit of sustainability goals. This studygoes beyond the conventional evaluation and impact assessment paradigms to explore the underlying ethical underpinnings.Drawing from a multi-disciplinary approach that encompasses ethics, law, and technology, this paper examineshow AI can both empower and potentially infringe upon human rights, highlighting the complex ethical dilemmas posedby AI-driven decision-making systems. It also scrutinizes the potential contributions of AI in bolstering environmental sustainability,emphasizing the need for responsible AI development and deployment to mitigate unintended consequences.Furthermore, this research underscores the importance of fostering a comprehensive ethical framework for AI, one thataligns with established human rights principles and sustainability objectives. By addressing ethical concerns such asbias, transparency, and accountability, we aim to guide policymakers, technologists, and stakeholders towards a moreequitable and sustainable AI future. In sum, this paper advances the discourse on AI, human rights, and sustainability bypresenting a holistic examination of the ethical considerations that underpin this intersection. By doing so, it contributes toa deeper understanding of the complexities involved in harnessing AI’s potential while safeguarding fundamental humanrights and advancing sustainability in an increasingly AI-driven world.
