Abstract:
Smart destination management is a rapidly evolving concept that aims to enhance the sustainability, competitiveness, and resilience of tourism destinations through the integration of innovativetechnologies and practices. While the benefits of Smart destination management are significant, there are also several challenges that need to be addressed. In this abstract, we explore the challengesand practices of Smart destination management. One of the key challenges is the lack of astandardized framework for Smart destination management. The absence of a common set of indicators, metrics, and benchmarks makes it difficult to measure the effectiveness of Smart destinationmanagement initiatives and compare performance across destinations.
