ECONOMIC ASSESSMENT OF MEASURES TO REDUCE THE SHORTAGE OF FREIGHT WAGONS IN RAILWAY TRANSPORT

Abstract: The article examines the economic consequences of the shortage of freight wagons. The relevance of thisproblem for railway transportation is justified. The causes of the shortage of rolling stock are considered. The impact ofthe deficit on costs and revenue is assessed. A decrease in the efficiency of fixed asset utilization is shown. Measures toreduce the deficit are proposed. Their economic feasibility is substantiated.
