Abstract: The article examines the current state and global trends in the development of the digital economy, emphasizingits role as a key driver of sustainable growth and competitiveness in the modern world. Particular attention is given tothe transformation processes taking place in Uzbekistan, where digital technologies are being actively introduced intovarious sectors of the economy. The study highlights international experiences and best practices while proposing specificmeasures aimed at strengthening the national digital ecosystem. These include the development of information andcommunication technologies, the expansion of e-commerce, and the integration of the Internet of Things into industrialand social spheres
