Abstract: The article analyzes the management of socio-economic development of regions as acomplex process that combines economic growth, spatial balance, institutional coordination, social inclusion,infrastructure development, and human capital improvement. Regional development is interpreted not onlyas an increase in gross regional product, but also as the improvement of living standards, employment,accessibility of public services, investment attractiveness, and the quality of local governance. The articleargues that effective regional management requires evidence-based planning, place-based policy, multi-levelgovernance, monitoring of indicators, and coordination between national, regional, and local institutions.
