Abstract:
This article presents a survey-based assessment of the readiness of Uzbek commercial banksto implement green lending practices and the barriers they face. The study analyzes the banking sector’spotential to finance environmentally sustainable projects, its level of institutional preparedness, and the existingchallenges. The findings identify key constraints, including bank employees’ awareness of green finance,regulatory framework requirements, and resource shortages.
