Abstract: Currently, the events and developments taking place in the global political arena significantly affect the economiesof many countries. Due to the political situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russia–Ukraine conflict, a numberof difficulties have arisen in the use of the main transport and logistics corridors passing through these regions. This articlehighlights the economic significance of the Trans-Afghan multimodal corridor project, which could serve as an optimalsolution to the current situation. The development of this corridor is of great importance for Uzbekistan, as it representsthe shortest route for the country to gain access to the sea
