INSURANCE AGENTS IN THE SALE OF INSURANCE – COMPETENCE, RESPONSIBILITY AND LIMITATIONS THROUGH LEGISLATION

Abstract: In most cases insurance does not end directly between the contracting parties butthrough intermediaries that can be insurance agents or brokers. Under the legislation, insurance brokers are insurance broker, insurance agent, insurance sub-agents andagent reports. According to Law 403/ 2004 as amended insurance agent can benatural or legal person, while the broker is the only person who arranges and negotiates insurance contracts for its clients and assist before and during the performance of his contract in connection with regulation damages.
