Abstract:
In this paper we want to highlight the contribution of services sector to the GDP achievement. In the national economy, economic activities are materialized in the development of goods and services. In Romania, after many years in which the services have consistently placed almost half of GDP, in 2009 for the first time, the services sector covered 50.1% of GDP. Services constitute a large and increasing part of the EU economies and are important determinants of competitiveness and growth. Based on the latest data available, almost 84% of the added value in the EU was generated by the services sectors.
