Abstract:
The principal aim of this paper is to examine the impact of learning mechanisms on the accumulation of technological capabilities (TCs) in firms of developing countries. To do this, we propose a matrix model, based on evaluation indicators. The matrix subdivides the TCs into six capacities and distinguishes between internal learning processes (composed of three learning mechanisms) and external ones (made up of four mechanisms). Therefore, this model analyzes the learning process and its aim – the accumulation of TCs in the firm. Finally, this assessment method is applied to the empirical case of the OCP firm in Morocco.
