Abstract: This article attempts to assess the importance of the various macroeconomic variables in determining the location of industrial firms in Tunisia with the help of an econometric model using panel data so as to explain the inflow of FDI in the manufacturing sector. The findings show that the prevalent factors of the attractiveness of Tunisia, in terms of market size and factor endowment, are the geographical distance and the differences between the investors countries and Tunisia as well as the availability of labour.
