Elisabeth Rhyne: Senior Vice President of ACCION International, directs ACCION's work in research, publications, new product development and policy. She has published numerous articles and four books on the subject. Prior to joining ACCION, Ms. Rhyne served as Director of the Office of Microenterprise Development at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). She holds a Ph.D. in public policy from Harvard University.
María Otero: President & CEO of ACCION International since 2000. Ms. Otero serves on the Board of Directors of several microfinance institutions in Latin America, as well as the Calvert Foundation, the United States Institute of Peace, and BRAC Holding of Bangladesh. She has an MA in International Relations from the John Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Among her numerous awards, Ms. Otero was named one of the 20 most influential women in the United States by Newsweek in its October 2005 edition on "How Women Lead."
