Claire Alexandre: Claire Alexandre, a Senior Program Officer in the Financial Services for the Poor program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is a policy expert in financial services. Previously with Vodafone, Claire held various positions in public policy. She was based in Brussels for eight years, where she led Vodafone's contributions to new EU legislation (including on electronic money, anti-money laundering and payment services), and she actively shaped and represented the views of the mobile industry in this area. More recently she has been in charge of financial services regulation and policy, in particular supporting M-PESA.
