Abstract:
New sports facilities have opened in Houston, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, and Foxboro, MA, and more have been planned for San Diego, CA, the District of Columbia, and New York City. This article discusses such issues as the various ways the public and private sectors finance these facilities, the economic impact of a sports facility on a region, and the way in which facility financing is viewed from the perspective of the National Football league.
