Abstract:
The disclosure requirements of Rule 15c2-12 provide direction for state and local governments when preparing financial condition information for external constituencies. This paper describes the results of the authors’ survey of municipal bond analysts, specifically of the membership of the National Federation of Municipal Bond Analysts, who were queried about the value and timeliness of the disclosure information that they receive for the credits they evaluate.
