Abstract:
The CARES Act and other state and federal funding sources provided much-needed liquidity that kept many healthcare systems afloat during the pandemic. Now that many pandemic-era programs have expired, healthcare systems face compounding challenges—patient volumes have not returned to pre-pandemic levels, costs are at an all-time high, and labor shortages have impacted ability to deliver services. This panel discusses the current state of healthcare postpandemic and potential long-term implications, and offers strategies and solutions for navigating a path forward.
