Abstract: Lembaga leasing di Indonesia mulai ada pada tahun 1973, yang kemudian diatur oleh pemerintah sejak tahun 1974 dan diikuti dengan peraturan-peraturan yang lain. Sehingga jelaslah bahwa perkembangan leasing di Indonesia masih sangat muda sekali, bahkan masih banyak masyarakat yang tidak mengenal istilah leasing.
