Abstract: It is analyzed the different approaches to understanding of a category «modernization». It is shown the necessity of simultaneous modernization of the country in three directions: socioeconomic, political and technological. The attention is focused on the allocation’s expediency of social and safety imperatives as priority in the modernization policy, and also the adaptation of above to interests of all the society. It is proved the importance of submission of tasks and priorities of development of industrial production and its technological modernization to the specified imperatives.
