Abstract:
This paper reveals the origins of trade argument concerning the restrictions of cheese import from Ukraine on Russian market. The scale of conflict is evaluated based on the analysis of dairy products’ trade between Ukraine and the Russian Federation and on the structure and forecasts of global cheese markets. Risks in dairy products trade with Russia are specified, consequences of trade conflict are evaluated and recommendations are provided to overcome negative consequences and to avoid losses of export earnings in future.
