Abstract:
The article analyses the impact of remittances on the welfare of domestic households. It is also investigated factors – the determinants of remittances in the context of the theory of family economics, and the hypothesis of the New Economics of labour migration. It is shown that the growth of remittances in the world is not only due to family relationships, as well as pure development of information technology, leading to simplification and reduction procedures for the funds transfer.
