Abstract: It is analyzed the marine transport sector in Ukraine in 2002-2011 years. It is characterized the position of Ukrainian seaports in Chornomor-Azov region. It is determined the relationship between the growth of the world, the national GDP and the growth of cargo ports. The tendencies and directions of further development of the industry are being examined.
