Abstract: The article is devoted to the problems of methodology for evaluation the engineering industry of Ukraine. A methodical approach to research of engineering industry development is proposed. The analysis of status is made and trends of engineering industry in Ukraine are found. A comprehensive assessment of engineering development is made. The ways of intensification and improving the competitiveness of engineering industry are proposed.
