Abstract: It is denoted that the value of gross domestic product per capita is not informative, and does not fully reflect the dynamics of welfare in the country. The paper considers indicators that comprehensively define welfare, analyses the structure and dynamics of final consumption expenditure, amount of inequality in income distribution, dynamics and wages, the ratio of wages to the underlying social standards and price dynamics, structure and dynamics of income. The statistics of countries with high and average index of human development is used.
