Abstract: The article examines existing approaches to denationalization and privatization. The stages and mechanisms of privatization in Azerbaijan are given. The indicators characterizing the process of privatization in the country, share of production in GDP and employed in governmental and non-governmental sectors of economy. The results of privatization are given and it is marked the sectors being privatized in the long term.
