Abstract: The need to intensify the innovative function of risk in response to modern challenges was substantiated, and domestic benchmarks of handling the innovative system risk were analyzed. The riskiness of various sources of financing innovative activity and its social and environmental aspects was assessed within the context of ensuring sustainable development.
