Abstract: In the articles it is exposed evolutional views on forming of essence of productive infrastructure of region, the present scientific approaches are systematized concerning determination of this category in the context of vertical, horizontal and diagonal connections, and also influence of the stages of innovative development is represented on the evolution of the investigated concept.
