The development of the transport system in Azerbaijan

Abstract: The article, based on years of statistical data, analyzes the main macroeconomic indicators for transport, its share in the economy, outlines the actions undertaken in the framework of the State Program of socio-economic development of the republic in 2009-2013 years. The progress in the development of the transport sectors is shown. We recount the list of measures for the improvement and development of the transport infrastructure of Baku and Absheron peninsula. We evaluated compilation of external economic links of the Republic in the sphere of organization and improving the management of the transportation sphere.
