Way to economy of knowledge

Abstract: In article the contents and an essence of economy of knowledge, its relevance for Azerbaijan is revealed. From this point of view a main objective of Azerbaijan at a stage of the development is entry into ranks of the advanced countries with modernization of all spheres of public life. The economic successes reached over the last 10 years under the direction of the head of state Ilham Aliyev open real opportunities for Azerbaijan to make similar requirements and to make decisive steps to a strategic objective. Development concept «Azerbaijan – 2020: Outlook for the Future» reflects carrying out necessary reforms needed to achieve this purpose. The technique of an assessment of economy of knowledge, the indicators characterizing economy of knowledge is given, World Ratings and analysis participation of Azerbaijan in these ratings. At the end the offers on transition of economy of Azerbaijan to economy of knowledge are given.
