Role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in development of science

Abstract: On the basis of long-term statistics and information published in the press, we examine the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the socio-economic and cultural development of Azerbaijan in the period from 1969-1982 and 1993 to 2003 years. He mentioned achievements in economy, science and education, improvement of social welfare of the population, we highlight the role of Heydar Aliyev in the revival of the National Academy of Sciences, the development of science, awarded high state awarding scientists for scientific achievement. In this paper special attention is paid to socio-economic development in the period from 2004 to 2012. Under the direction of a worthy successor of the national leader Ilham Aliyev, we analyse the main indicators of the development of science in the country, we indicate widespread support of the President of the Republic in strengthening the material-technical base of ANAS and scientists’ welfare.
