Socio-economic development of Azerbaijan during the years of independence

Abstract: The article describes the social and economic transformation which have taken place since 1993 to the present time in Azerbaijan, and allowed the country to implement radical reforms in all spheres of society life, maintain macroeconomic stability, accelerate the development of non-oil sectors and regions, strengthen state support of entrepreneurship, create conditions for free competition in the private sector, eliminate poverty and unemployment, provide a decent living.
