Abstract: The paper considers the main aspects of the system of national statistical classifications. The comparative analysis of the financial information interpretation in different editions of the Classification of Economic Activities has been made. The proposals concerning the implementation of the Nomenclature of Financial Services in order to display the financial institutions operation in the statistical classifications in more detail has been made.
